Current Project

Forever Glacier: The Legacy Project

The Forever Glacier touring exhibit was developed over a decade and was completed and launched in 2020, employing one artist’s expression to portray the language of the wilderness.

The exhibit primarily consists of original paintings by award winning artist, Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, celebrating wildlife and wild places using brilliant color in large format dye on silk paintings.  Focusing on Glacier National Park as a microcosm in exploring today’s challenges of climate change and loss of habitat, Blackfoot Indian creation stories are also woven throughout the exhibit, widening the perspective of a different paradigm in living and interacting on earth with the four-legged and the winged as our teachers.

“The language of the wilderness is the best language we have, and it is our job to sing it.”
